It has a creamy, thick consistency with a sweet flavor, and is served either cold or warm.
It is made from “malted ricewhich is calledKome Kojiin Japanese.

Malted rice is steamed rice that is bred with Koji mold (Aspergillus Oryzae) and is also used for making Sake and rice Miso.
So malted rice is one of the most essential elements of Japanese food culture.
Normally malted rice Amazake does not use sugar because rice starch is broken down into
glucose during the fermentation process to produce sufficient sweetness.

It can be safely consumed by small children and pregnant women.

Our Sake brewey in Saiki city is located in the southern part of Oita prefecture and
is surrounded by abundant nature.

The Banjo river, which flows out from the vast mountains of Mt.Sobo and Mt.Katamuki range,
is known as one of the clearest streams in Kyushu.

Our Sake brewey continues to make Sake and Shochu in the places blessed with
such an environment from 1910 ( Meiji 43 ) until today.

Sake brewing is a traditional cultural industry rooted in the local community and
living with the community.
Agricultural products made from Saiki’s soil, water from the clear stream Banjo river,
and culture that has been handed down by ancient people.
We would like to make Sake and Shochu that reflects the unique climate of Saiki.

Sake brewing is a cultural succession.
Not only is it delicious, but we would like to revitalize the heartfelt contributions of
those feelings.
And we think that communicating the philosophy to the next generation is
what the Sake brewey should be in the future.
