The quality of Mr.Takahashi’s tea products Local resources: Our tea fields are located in the city of Usuki in Oita Prefecture on the southwestern island of Kyushu. With its hilly landscape, misty air and distinct temperature differences, the area is perfectly suited for growing tea. Organic tea garden: A tea garden that inherited the organic farming method that Mr. Takahashi’s father started 20 years ago and prohibited the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Organic JAS Certification: We received the JAS – Certified Organic Food seal in March 2001 and have been cultivating organic tea ever since. Organic tea production: Thorough quality control is achieved by integrating manufacturing, processing and sales in-house. We are working on organic tea making at a manufacturing plant that is strictly controlled so that non-organic substances are not mixed.
