As part of the rare earth group of permanent magnets, samarium cobalt(SmCo) magnets have very high magnetic properties and temperature properties. Their Curie temperature can be as high as 710 à 880℃, maximum working temperature can be 250 à 350℃, so this kind of magnets have the best magnetic stability. They include rare earth Sm1Co5 and Sm2Co17 and are referred to as 1:5 et 2:17 materials. There’re three different manufacturing processes: sintered SmCo magnet, bonded SmCo magnet, and injection molding SmCo magnet.
