Is slate fragile? Will it break if I drop it?
Comparing with porcelain, the hardness of slate is very high, about 78.5. Our slate paving stone can pass the rolling of the car,so the hardness of the slate plates and coasters are the same, but the thickness are thin comparing with slate paving stone. If you treat your slate plates like you any dish or glass from your kitchen, your slates will be perfectly fine!
