Maruyasu-Tea is grown in Tsuchiyama Tongu in Japan.

It is one of the major tea producing areas with a history of nearly 700 years.

1. Tea is stored in a dedicated refrigerated warehouse to maintain freshness.

They perform thorough control of temperature and humidity, fine-tuning according to the season,

so that it can be stored in the best condition.

Finishing work is performed at a dedicated factory in the Maruyasu Tea co.,ltd.

Various types of tea are produces through processes such as burning, drying, sieveing, sorting, and shaping

according to size and weight.

We have much experience in adjusting the burning.

We make subtle adjustments depending on the season, the weather, temperature and humidity.

There is no compromise there.

2. Because tea is grown outdoors, impurities such as sand are inevitably mixed during piking.

The Maruyasu Tea co.,ltd has introduced a high-sensitivity CCD camera-based foreign substance sorter for green tea

to remove iron, non-ferrous metals, and other foreign substances that isn’t tea.

If a foreign object is found in the tea leaves passing (falling) in front of the camera, air will be blown out

with a pinpoint aim at that position to remove it.

3. After passing through a high-performance sorter, the final check is done by the human eye.

This is an indispensable task to provide safe and tea.
