Technological line for the disposal of roofing material based on construction bitumen (PBKO)

PBKO is designed for complete utilization of bitumen-roofing waste and obtaining building materials based on construction bitumen (bitumen, primer, mastic).

The equipment consists of several modules:

1) Unit for cutting waste into strips.

2) Melting plant.

3) A unit to supply thermal energy.

4) Heated mixing tank for bitumen.

5) The process line modules are connected by thermally insulated process pipelines.

The unit for cutting raw materials into strips consists of a cutting table, a control Cabinet and is designed for grinding layers of roofing material into strips before being fed to the conveyor of the melting plant.

The heat supply unit includes a thermal oil boiler, a thermally insulated pipeline with an expansion tank, and a pumping station for pumping and circulating the coolant. The heat supply unit is designed to transfer heat energy from the boiler to the melting plant by circulating a heated heat-resistant coolant.

The melting plant is a welded structure (heat chamber) with double walls, mounted on metal supports. The bottom and walls of the heat chamber have cavities in which the heated coolant circulates. The outer surface of the heat chamber is covered with a thermal insulation coating and a metal casing. The melting plant is equipped with a hot air circulation system, the components of which are a thermally insulated air pipeline, an explosion – proof smoke exhaust, and a stainless high-temperature heat exchanger. The melting plant has a heated pipeline fittings, a control cabinet, a heated separator-bituminous receiver, and heated bitumen cranes. The melting plant is also equipped with an inert gas supply system to the melting chamber to prevent the formation of an explosive mixture of bitumen vapor and heated air.

In case of an emergency power outage, the valve opens automatically and the inert gas from the cylinder is fed through the pipeline into the melting unit. When the melting plant is energized, the system automatically switches to standby mode. An umbrella of the exhaust system for ventilation emissions generated during the operation of the conveyor and during the discharge of bitumen into the separator is mounted above the melting unit and the separator receiver.

The heated bitumen from the storage tank of the melting plant is drained into the separator-receiver. Then the bitumen is drained from the separator into the container. Bitumized paper (cardboard), passing along the conveyor through the melting plant, is collected in a container for cooling.

Next, the cardboard is packed in polypropylene bags, labeled, placed on pallets and transported to the finished product warehouse before being sent to the consumer (organizations that produce stabilizing additives to crushed stone-mastic asphalt mixes). The bitumized mineral additive is unloaded by a scraper mechanism into a special container for cooling and then packed in polypropylene bags, marked, placed on pallets and transported to the finished product warehouse before being sent to the consumer (organizations that manufacture asphalt concrete mixes).
